INITS
In its own right, In its own time

Gartner evaluated the success rate of BI Systems implementations to be under 30%

Even technically successfully built BI System's can be considered failed if the scope is not achieved.
One of the main objectives is for the decision makers to adopt the BI System.
A good indicator that a BI System has failed is to have the decision makers still use operational system reports.
This makes it that much worth it to have a third party independent opinion.
An independent reviewer will have look at your BI System with no hidden agenda.
There will be :
1. no preference for any specific major software player (Microsft, IBM, Oracle, etc)
2. no politics swaying towards a specific conclusion
3. no financial motivation for a specific conclusion

Simple enough

The average audit takes one week and it only involves one person from INITS.
You get the opinion of a BI Architect that worked on many BI Projects, built many BI Systems from scratch, worked with a plethora of major BI software players, and who can be direct with you on whether your expectations of what you plan to do or what you allready have done with your BI System match the reality inside your organisation.
